LEMONGRASS FOR SKIN? WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW…
I’m addicted. If I see lemongrass on a menu, that’s my dish! A piece of Lemongrass in hot water and that’s my tea. And Lemongrass for skin? Well that’s my favourite ingredient in organic beauty products.
It is seriously the most exotic, refreshing, mind clearing, diverse herb you could ever find. The aroma is unique and the benefits from its oil are numerous.
That’s why I often included it in my products. When I’m braining storming for new products I’m always like “OHHHH what about Lemongrass!!!” Blah blah blah… My team often smile and roll their eyes knowing what was coming.
WHY LEMONGRASS? THE BENEFITS…
One major lemongrass essential oil benefit is its skin healing properties. This little beauty is antimicrobial which makes it great as a cleanser for all skin types and can help kill bacteria and reduce inflammation. To keep it as simple as we can, Lemongrass for skin also has antiseptic and astringent properties, which helps to give your skin that beautiful, even glow. It also has your bathroom smelling like a holistic spa. Try some in an oil burner as it helps calm anxiety, irritability, and insomnia. That’s why I’m going to start growing it in my garden on the Gold Coast (next to my Aloe Vera!). Many say that it is best grown in hot humid tropical climates… I would love to know; any Eco babes from Victoria able to grow this?
WHICH ECO PRODUCTS FEATURE LEMONGRASS?
We use Certified Organic Lemongrass Oil in a number of our Eco By Sonya Driver Body Care products.
